Lifting & Sculpting Face Massage
An external facial massage combining Myofascial and Korugi techniques for a lifted and refreshed appearance.
Massage & Natural Lifting
External facial massage and gloved intraoral work through the cheek and jaw area, with your comfort and consent guiding the session.
Buccal includes gloved inside-the-mouth work on the cheeks and jaw. If you prefer external-only facial massage, explore Lifting & Sculpting Face Massage.

Buccal Face Massage combines external facial massage with gloved intraoral work inside the mouth through the cheek and jaw area. Some clients seek it for a feeling of jaw or facial muscle tension; comfort and response vary.
Your 60-minute appointment begins with consultation and external massage of the face and neck/shoulder area. Intraoral work begins in the second half, using single-use gloves. The practitioner verbally explains the transition before starting, and you can ask to adjust pressure, pause or stop at any time. A lymphatic-drainage-style external finish and skincare products complete the visit.
If you prefer external-only work, choose Lifting & Sculpting Face Massage. Buccal is an aesthetic facial massage, not medical diagnosis or treatment of TMJ disorders.

Buccal may suit clients who want both external and intraoral facial massage and are comfortable discussing pressure and sensations throughout. If you prefer external-only massage, choose Lifting & Sculpting.
Recent dental procedures or active inflammation may mean postponing intraoral work. Contact the studio before booking so timing can be discussed individually. Persistent or unexplained jaw pain needs appropriate medical or dental assessment; this service does not replace that care.
We discuss your goals, comfort and any recent dental procedures or active inflammation that may affect the appointment.
Massage of the face and neck/shoulder area prepares for the internal portion.
In the second half, the practitioner verbally explains the transition and uses single-use gloves. Tell us about discomfort; pressure can be adjusted and you can pause or stop at any time.
Lymphatic-drainage-style movements finish the massage, followed by skincare products.

Good to know
Choose a topic to learn what to expect before and after your appointment.
Many clients notice a lighter feeling through the jaw and cheeks and a rested, more defined appearance after the first session. Early changes may last several days; individual tension patterns and daily habits affect how long they last.
A series of three to six sessions may be discussed for ongoing care, with the plan adjusted to your response. Massage supports relaxation and the appearance of puffiness and definition; it is not a treatment for a diagnosed jaw disorder.
There is usually no planned downtime, although temporary tenderness, mild redness, or an unfamiliar feeling through worked muscles can occur. If discomfort is sharp or persistent, contact the studio and seek appropriate medical or dental advice when indicated.
Arrive with clean teeth and tell the practitioner about recent dental treatment, oral sores, gum sensitivity, infections, injectables, or facial procedures. Avoid booking if you are unwell or have active irritation inside the mouth. Remove removable oral appliances before the internal work unless your dental provider advises otherwise.
Drink water, eat normally as comfortable, and avoid aggressive self-massage immediately afterward. Notice how the jaw feels over the next day rather than repeatedly checking or pressing the area. If the practitioner recommends spacing from dental or cosmetic procedures, follow that individualized guidance.
Keep skincare mild for the first 24 hours and avoid heavy makeup if the skin feels sensitive. Gentle relaxation or stretching can help you enjoy the relaxed feeling, without pressing or working the treated tissues aggressively.
Not sure which treatment to choose?
Buccal combines external face and neck/shoulder-area massage with intraoral work inside the mouth using single-use gloves. The internal portion begins in the second half. Lifting & Sculpting is the core external-only format.
You may feel tenderness in tight areas, but pressure is adjusted to your comfort. Tell us if anything hurts; the work can be changed or stopped at any time.
You can ask to pause or stop intraoral work at any time. Booking Buccal does not remove ongoing consent. If you know before booking that you prefer external-only massage, select Lifting & Sculpting instead.
Timing depends on the procedure and your provider's instructions. Contact Topaz before booking and obtain clearance from the treating dental or medical professional when appropriate.
Buccal at Topaz is an aesthetic facial massage, not medical diagnosis or treatment of TMJ disorders. Some clients seek it for a feeling of jaw or facial muscle tension. Persistent jaw pain or a suspected disorder needs assessment by an appropriate healthcare professional.
Many clients notice relaxation and a rested appearance after one visit, with early changes lasting several days. A series of three to six sessions may be considered for ongoing tension patterns. Frequency is adjusted to comfort and response.
Other skincare can be planned around massage where suitable. Contact our Kitsilano studio to discuss the combination and timing; additional treatments are not automatically included in the 60-minute appointment.
