The first step is a required in-person consultation to assess the pigmentation and establish a suitable plan. When treatment proceeds, the skin is cleansed and the Cosmelan mask is applied once by a professional. The program includes the procedure and approximately three to four months of home care. You receive individual instructions for removal and the home-care phase, including consistent sun protection and follow-up. This is a program with responsibilities beyond the appointment, not a single brightening facial.
Unlike a treatment focused only on surface exfoliation, the depigmentation approach also addresses the processes involved in excess melanin production. The home phase and daily sun protection are essential to maintaining improvement, rather than treating the studio mask as a complete stand-alone solution.
Cosmelan combines exfoliation with skin-brightening ingredients such as azelaic acid, kojic acid and phytic acid.
